The challenge
The Laureus Sport for Good Global Summit is a biennial gathering, bringing together over 150 experts from the world of Sport for Development. Having designed and hosted the Summit in 2012 and 2014, our brief in 2016 was to develop a new Summit design, focusing on unlocking collaboration across attendees.
The summit
To unlock true collaboration, we had to create the right conditions where the 150 attendees could truly connect and take ownership for the agenda. We introduced several new elements to the Summit, including self-managed Tribes where participants co-coached one another on their challenges, and elective workshops to develop core leadership skills including Coaching and Partnership working.
A staggering 98% of attendees agreed that the Summit facilitated opportunities to collaborate, with approximately 50% of attendees developing new partnerships as a result of the Summit.
Whether designing or hosting our Global Summit in Germany or leading internal sessions with our team, CoCreate’s insights, energy and expertise proves hugely valuable to us on repeated occasions.
